Manhattan Play Therapy
Kids Coping with Divorce. Children’s Counseling. Play-Based Support.

Helping Children Cope with Divorce Through Play and Connection.

In my work with children experiencing family transitions like divorce or separation, I often support them in making sense of their feelings and experiences in a safe, creative way. Many kids feel caught in the middle, uncertain, or overwhelmed as their family structure shifts. In therapy, I use play, art, movement, and storytelling to help them express difficult emotions, rebuild a sense of security, and feel more in control of their world.

Our team at Manhattan Play Therapy shares a commitment to supporting children and families through life’s complex changes. We bring together trauma-informed, play-based, and body-aware approaches, with cultural humility and family collaboration at the core of our work. Whether your child is adjusting to two households, managing loyalty binds, or simply needs a steady space to process, we work alongside caregivers to help each child feel grounded, understood, and supported.

Let's connect and talk about how therapy can help your child feel more secure.
