I work with my clients from an attachment perspective, which allows me to view children’s development in the context of healthy connection with others.
From birth, humans exist in relation to one another; a child relies on a safe caregiver to survive. Thus, a huge part of my practice involves working with parents, especially when a child has experienced trauma or loss.
Through parent coaching, I can offer support, strategies and psychoeducation related to your child’s specific experiences and his/her developmental stage. Parent coaching can be in addition to or separate from child therapy; I also work with parents around specific behavioral, developmental, or emotional concerns. Parent coaching can be done in person or by phone or video. On a case-by-case basis, I also offer in-home parental support.
