Building self-esteem in kids. Self-esteem counseling for teens.
Confidence begins with feeling safe, seen, and supported.
Children and teens who struggle with self-esteem often carry quiet doubts about their worth, abilities, or place in the world. I work with young people to help them understand those inner voices and begin forming a healthier, more compassionate view of themselves. In session, I use creative and movement-based approaches such as play, art, storytelling, and talk therapy to help kids process emotions and recognize their strengths. These moments of reflection and connection support emotional growth and confidence.
I also work closely with caregivers to support growth at home. Low self-esteem can show up in many ways, such as withdrawal, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or outbursts. Therapy offers a space to understand these behaviors and respond with care. Whether a child is navigating school challenges, friendship struggles, or changes in the family, we can work together to help them feel more secure, supported, and grounded in who they are.
Let's talkabout how we can support your child’s growth and confidence.
